INSTITUTION — INTEGRITY REPORTING
Report Officer Misconduct.
The RCD is committed to institutional integrity. Report misconduct, extortion, or abuse of office confidentially. All reports are taken seriously.
What to Report
The following conduct by RCD officers, contracted staff, or police officers operating under PRCEP should be reported immediately.
Extortion & Bribery
Demanding payment, gifts, or favours from parties in exchange for case outcomes, faster processing, or preferential treatment.
Abuse of Office
Using official authority to intimidate, coerce, or take action against a party for personal benefit or to favour another party.
Favouritism & Bias
Assigning cases, making decisions, or taking enforcement actions based on personal relationships, ethnicity, or improper influence rather than the merits.
Failure to Act
Deliberate inaction on complaints, cases, or enforcement matters — particularly where a party has paid fees and is entitled to service.
Unlawful Eviction Facilitation
Any RCD officer or police officer under PRCEP who assists or enables an unlawful eviction, lockout, or forced removal.
Breach of Confidentiality
Improperly sharing a party's personal information, case details, or documents with unauthorised persons.
How to Make a Report
- 1
Document the incident — record dates, names, what was said or done, and any witnesses.
- 2
Submit your report through this page, by email, or in person at any RCD regional office.
- 3
Your report is received by the Internal Audit / Integrity focal point — not by the officer or unit being reported.
- 4
Confidential acknowledgement is provided within 5 business days.
- 5
An investigation is conducted. You will be updated on the outcome where legally permissible.
- 6
If your report involves potential criminal conduct, it will be referred to the appropriate authority.
Your Protections
- Your identity is kept confidential throughout the reporting and investigation process.
- Retaliation against a person who makes a good-faith integrity report is a serious disciplinary offence.
- Anonymous reports are accepted — you do not need to provide your name.
- If you fear retaliation or are a public servant making a protected disclosure, additional legal protections apply under Ghanaian law.
